School Begins!!

As our annual holiday break comes to a close we are busy here at HOPE FOR ALL preparing for the new school semester. Our students are currently registering for their classes and making final preparations for school. All of our teachers are excited to meet their students and optimistic about the future of the program! It promises to be a good year! A successful new addition to our program includes several laptops loaded with educational software for the students, teachers, and administrators to all use. We hope that the inclusion of technology in the program will better prepare students for a promising future in out ever globalizing world!

Despite this fabulous progress we are having trouble financially securing our current school building for the entirety of this upcoming 2011-2012 school year. Our building, which uniquely has the appropriate space for both academic classrooms and vocational workshops, costs CFA 200,000 (USD $439.881), all due as soon as possible before school can begin. Although we are currently negotiating to be able to pay this sum in increments over the course of the school year we still need to raise this money. We are seeking donations to directly help pay these building fees. HOPE FOR ALL Classes Offered

Our teaching philosophy is to offer students a combination of academic and vocational training. We believe that supplementing a traditional academic curriculum with practical job skills training will give our students the best chance at gaining secure and meaningful employment upon graduation. With over 30% recorded unemployment in Cameroon we feel strongly that these additional skills will give them the upper hand in our difficult economic environment. Classes we offer include:

Supplies Needed

As we continue to work towards fully equipping our school with the best possible resources for academic and vocational learning there are some supplies we are still seeking to obtain. We hope that by being able to provide all necessary school supplies to our students, no child will be left out due to an inability to afford even the most basic educational necessities.

Teachers and Board Members at HOPE FOR ALL School

The new educational-vocational school HOPE FOR ALL was founded by an elite group of passionate teachers and qualified professionals. With a degree in Biblical Studies including an emphasis on Missions Gordon Youngchi is the founder and creator of HOPE FOR ALL and is currently serving on the teaching staff as well. The Executive Board of Directors is compromised of Gordon Youngchi who stands as the General Coordinator, Genesis Tinshu the Technical Advisor, Alice Vifan the School Director, Vincents Masoh the Treasurer, Davis Mezie the Facilitator, Kelso Alobwede the Project Coordinator, and Juliette Ndoh the Secretary. The various members of the Executive Board hold High School Diplomas, Advanced Level Certificates in Teaching, a Computer Science Degree, and a Doctorate of Medicine. Currently the school employs eleven teachers but hopes to increase this number as the school expands in the future. These teachers include Gordon Youngchi, Juliette Ndoh, Alice Vifan, Toge Rachel, Eduh Emmanuella, Shey Peter, Tabi Willian, Smith, Maya Lucia, Kang Eduh Cletus, and Nadesh Davis. Each of our teachers bring unique skills and specific area expertise to the school, guiding students as we bring them off the street and help them grow in to the future leaders of our community.
